JAKARTA - Composite Stock Price Index opened higher 9.780 points or about 0.21 percent at 4615.566, Monday (02/18/2013). The increase is in line with the positive movement of the stock market in the Asian region. LQ45 index opened slightly lower, with the increase of 1.575 points, or about 0.20 percent, at 791.390.
Entering the five minutes of trading, stock index continued to strengthen 12.955 points (0.29 percent) to a level of 4662.781. Index continued to move up and reached a record high in the history of the whole of last week. The power index will be re-tested at the weekend. The potential rise is still awaiting confirmation of the performance of companies with global market sentiment.
At the end of last week, U.S. stocks closed mixed. Bourses in Asia earlier this week with a varied moves upward trend. The Nikkei 225 index soared 221.82 points (1.99 percent) to a level of 11395.65.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose 17.17 points (0.71 percent) to a level of 2435.70. Straits Times Index edged up 2.61 points (0.08 percent) to a level of 3285.68. But the Hang Seng index fell 93.22 points (0.40 percent) to a level of 23351.34.
